Appexx Uni-Link

Swifty Manufacturing has developed a system to connect hollow braided (Spectra) fishing lines to extruded (monofilament or fluorocarbon) fishing lines without the use of a serve, crimp or knot.  It is the newest and best way to conjoin the dissimilar materials of Spectra with Monofilament or Fluorocarbon. It is called the Appexx Uni-Link.  We have created a new category of connections, the link.  It delivers a low profile, easy to install, user friendly repeatable connection. The Appexx Uni-Link is an elastomer link that compresses the connection.  As stress is applied to the connection during normal fishing, the compression of the link increases to ensure a positive connection.  

Swifty Spectra Adhesive

The Swifty Spectra Adhesive is an adhesive product that is used to connect hollow spectra with monofilament or fluorocarbon. Swifty Manufacturing began working with a technologically advanced adhesive company to develop an adhesive system specifically engineered for the hollow spectra - monofilament connection. This adhesive addresses the issue of attaching the hollow spectra to the fluorocarbon or monofilament without compromising the breaking strength of the leader. The adhesive also has been designed to adhere to the spectra main line without reducing it’s breaking strength and remains flexible to pass through the guides on the rod. This adhesive is easy to use.

Swifty Connection Needle Kits

Swifty Spectra Splicing Needles are used to insert monofilament or fluorocarbon into hollow spectra during the connection process. Swifty Spectra Splicing Needles were developed based on Spectra sizes, not monofilament sizes. Our New splicing needles are made from solid stainless steel bar stock with a machined tip and bore for making hollow spectra connections. There are two sizes, one for hollow spectra 80# and less. The other is for 135# and above. We have also designed a special cutting guide to be used to taper the end of the monofilament for use with the needles. This system is easy to use.



Swifty Latching Hook

The Swifty Spectra Latching Hook is used to pull loops in spectra and also repair damaged hollow spectra. The hook has a unique gate which allows for a quick and easy insertion and retraction of the hook while making your top shot loops.
